Puppy buyer information
We want the best for our puppies and for you as the proud new owners.
Here at Theora American Bulldogs, we breed our dogs for ourselves, first and foremost. This means that if we have a breeding lined up, we will be retaining or placing a puppy from that litter to include in our breeding program. We do not do any unnecessary breeding's and all of our breeding's that do take place are carefully planned out.
This also means that we will only ever have limited puppies available to approved pet homes. If we use a stud dog from another kennel to include in our breeding program, the kennel that owns the stud dog will also have first pick above everyone on our waiting list. Once we have picked our 'keepers', the people on our waiting list with a Paid Deposit will be next in line. Please also be aware that our puppies are sold as Pets Only - Non Breeding. |
We ask for a $300 transferable/non-refundable deposit to go on our waiting list - This is included in the total price of your puppy.
Once the litter has arrived, and we have an idea on numbers and sexes, we start taking $500 deposits to secure your puppy. Additional payments can be made anytime from here on in, with the final amount to be paid by the time your puppy is 8 weeks old and ready for their new homes. If a suitable puppy is not available to you from our current litter, timing isn’t right for a new puppy, or you have your heart set on a later breeding, then your deposit can be held over till a suitable puppy comes along for you and your family. Puppies will not be picked out till they are at least 7-8 weeks of age. This gives us a little bit of time to evaluate the litter, see what their little temperaments and personalities are like, so then we can help match the most suitable puppy to you and your family, based off what you are looking for in a dog. |
Price for a Theora Bulldog Puppy.

A full refund of the purchase price will be offered IF we include the dog in our breeding program, or a free 'pet only' puppy in return for allowing us to include the dog in our breeding program. You will get around the clock support from us from the time you take your puppy home. Anytime, any day! We want the best for our puppies and for you as the proud new owners, so we want to make this an easy and enjoyable experience for all involved. Having a great relationship with our new puppy owners is really important to us. We love receiving updates, photos and keeping in touch to see how they are settling in and enjoying their new homes. |
When our puppies go to their new homes:
* They are microchipped.
* They are up to date with worming. * They have been treated for fleas. * They are up to date with vaccinations. * They get a health check from our veterinarian at 7 weeks old - when they have their 1st vaccination & Microchip. * They will come with a 2 year health guarantee with us. * Pedigree Papers (once de-sexed) Each puppy will also come with a small Puppy Pack which will include photo's and all relevant paperwork - vaccination card, microchip transfer papers and a health check certificate if flying. If you have been sold a puppy with breeding rights, you will receive your puppies full registration pedigree papers once they have had their hips and elbows x-rayed and scored for dysplasia between the ages of 18-24 months. |
Our puppies are raised in our home and are safely socialised from a young age.
We let them interact with other vaccinated dogs, our cats and young children so that they have a well balanced temperament suitable for a family home. We have also built an enrichment area for our puppies to help with their early imprinting stage. We have different surfaces, sounds, obstacles and tunnels for our puppies to run and play on. This helps with your puppies confidence and prepares them for when they are out in the real world. We also temperament test our puppies at around 6-7 weeks of age. We like to do this just before we make our final decisions on who we will be keeping back to include in our breeding program, and to see which puppies will be more suitable for you and your family. |
We start basic training with our puppies from the age of 4 weeks old - sit, drop, stay. We also teach them manners, like siting and being invited inside, waiting before they can eat, and no jumping up. Our puppies are also crate trained so it makes for an easy transition if you wish to use a crate once you take your puppy home.
We are happy to put in the ground work with our puppies before they go to their new homes as we want to make sure we give them the best start in life, but it is up to you as the new owner to continue this training.
